He also worked on the Tucson Citizen, Phoenix Enterprise, Morning Sun, and Daily Globe newspapers. In 1909, he was appointed the Territorial Historian after proposing the position to the legislature.
He would later become a State Senator representing Yuma County and was the President of the Senate from 1923 to 1928. In 1932, he was appointed the State Librarian after Con Cronin died. He died in Phoenix in 1956 and is buried in Yuma.More InformationWikipedia
