The Sacaton Dam Bridge was built in 1925 and at 1250 feet long, spans the Gila River. The dam diverted water to the Gila River Indian Community as part of the San Carlos Irrigation Project. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. Today the bridge is covered in graffiti, though is open to traffic.
