Built in 1915, the Jefferson Hotel was once the tallest building in the state of Arizona and still sits on the southeast corner of Jefferson and Central in downtown Phoenix. Now known as the Barrister Building, it is owned by the city of Phoenix and has been largely empty, though it has been home to the Phoenix Police Museum and has been subject to many rumored renovation projects.
