The Arizona Enterprise (Weekly)

The Arizona Enterprise was a newspaper published in Prescott, Arizona from 1877 to 1879. It published both weekly/semi-weekly edition and a daily edition, sometimes under different publishers altogether. The semi-weekly edition was published on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the daily edition was published every day except Sundays. The weekly edition listed the agents (or journalists) they used to collect the news- these agents lived as far away as Los Angeles, Yuma, and Tucson, while other agents lived in Prescott's backyard, in Camp Verde, Bradshaw City, and Williamson Valley. Both papers covered national and international news in addition to Arizona and local news. This included articles on the political, military, and social news of the day. Births, deaths, court reports, and the weather were also covered. Both newspapers also featured advertisements for saloons, mills, freight companies, stoneworkers, lumber companies, banks, jewelers, restaurants, drug stores, auction houses, and general merchandise from proprietors all over Arizona.
