The Phoenix Mirror was a newspaper focused on political and governmental news around Phoenix. It was published with the intent of electing E. E. Reading as Phoenix Mayor, and Newell W. Stewart and A. Perry Wadlow to Commissioner positions. Specifically, the newspaper covered stories of crime, gambling, and taxes while also claiming that the current mayor Udall and his staff were corrupt and misspending city funds. Several political cartoons were also printed, including some depicting the current mayoral office, men who were running for election, and recent crimes around the city.
