The Arizona Contact was a newspaper “devoted to the interests of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy Air Arm.” Its debut issue highlighted the pilots who participated in the film Air Cadet (1951), the bulk of which was filmed at Williams Air Force Base outside of Mesa. Subsequent issues featured various pilots and their activities throughout the state, news updates for soldiers, as well as recommendations for outings, events, and even book suggestions.
