Arizona Farmer was a newspaper published in Florence “in the interest of Casa Grande Valley Farmers.” Its debut issue pledged to “write intelligently about farming…we’ll do our best to publish only authenticated stuff and we promise to quote only the best of authority.” Its publisher, H.H. Wrenn, was also the publisher for a number of other newspapers in Pinal County, such as the Casa Grande Dispatch, Buckeye Review, and Florence-Blade Tribune. The Arizona Farmer focused primarily on news that would keep local farmers up to date on new technology, market prices, and suggestions on maintaining crops and cattle.
