This collection of oral histories is a small sample collected from alumni as a tribute to Globe High School. In 1914, Globe High School opened its doors to approximately 250 students between 7th-12th grades. Globe High School has the proud distinction of being the oldest building in Arizona built and continuously operated as a school.
This collection features the stories of excellent educators who came to inspire with vision and passion. Other stories come from graduates who acquired their teaching credentials and returned to “give back” their careers as teachers or administrators in Globe schools. Many stories also refer to Globe High School’s competitive sports, particularly the fierce rivalry between the Globe Tigers and neighboring Miami Vandals.
