In November 2013, the Grand Canyon Historical Society (GCHS) initiated an Oral History Project and interviews began in the spring of 2014. The project involves the recording of oral interviews with any number of people who lived or worked in the Grand Canyon or the nearby region. The recorded interviews and transcriptions are in the public domain and are archived in the Museum Collection at Grand Canyon National Park and in the GCHS Collection at Cline Library Special Collections.
It is our hope these interviews will become a lasting record for the personal histories of the Grand Canyon, to be used in future research endeavors. Additional interviews and transcriptions are also available on the GCHS website.
