In a 1913 letter to Governor Hunt, Megargee describes the painting as having "a young girl draped pouring water from an Indian jar onto the soil." Because of this irrigation, alfalfa and other greenery spread into the distance against a background of Granite Reef Mountain.Date Original1913Date Range1910s (1910-1919)TypeStill ImageOriginal FormatPaintings (visual works)Contributing InstitutionArizona Capitol MuseumCollectionLon Megargee PaintingsRights StatementIn Copyright http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/ Copyright and/or publication rights for all images in this collection are retained by this institution.
