With climate being one of the 5 C's of Arizona (Cattle, Citrus, Climate, Copper, and Cotton), Arizona has always been a "hot spot" for tourism. Hotels and resorts have been a mainstay of the economy since Arizona was a territory and a good number of these historic places still exist. The boom of post World War II travel, the discovery of hot springs, the establishment of National Parks, and warm winters have helped progress the hotel and tourism industry in Arizona.
This collection includes pamphlets, brochures, documents, hotel menus, and other ephemera related to the history of Arizona's hotel and resort industry.
