SubjectGlendale (Ariz.)--HistoryAgriculture--Arizona.DescriptionPalm Lane was the original entrance to Sahuaro Ranch, connecting the main ranch buildings to Olive Avenue a half-mile to the south. The ranch's first owner, William Bartlett, had these trees planted in 1890. While these palms do not produce fruit, they represented the ranch's early emphasis on fruit.
