Farms--Arizona--Sedona
Description
Cook's 1912 homestead extended from the base of Table Mountain and spread across 160 acres of Grasshopper Flat. His son, Jay, homesteaded another 160 acres nearby that later become the Sedona West subdivision. When Henry and wife, Effie, moved away in 1943, Jay built a motel, store and gas station on part of the original homestead to meet the needs of the new 'motoring' tourists.
